2025 J2昇格プレーオフの大会概要
The J2 promotion playoffs involve a tournament among clubs ranked 3rd to 6th in the J3 League standings, with the champion club earning promotion to J2 for the following season. For the 2025 season,FC大阪(3rd place),テゲバジャーロ宮崎(4th place),鹿児島ユナイテッドFC(5th place), and ツエーゲン金沢(6th place) have secured their spots.
If any of those four clubs did not receive a J2 club license, a playoff would be held among the remaining clubs, and there would be no advancement for teams ranked 7th or lower in the annual standings; however, no clubs qualified for this situation this year.

各1試合のトーナメント方式（計3試合）にて実施。準決勝の組み合わせは、3位vs6位、4位vs5位。

A match is played for 90 minutes (45 minutes per half). In both the semi-finals and the final, if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes, the club with the higher league standing will be declared the winner to ensure their superior league position. The championship club will be promoted to the J2 League starting with the 2026 Special Season.
