WWE Backlash 2025 fight card

  • John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship
  • Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title
  • Jacob Fatu (c) vs. LA Knight vs. Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE United States Championship
  • Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Penta for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
  • Pat McAfee vs. Gunther

Cena beat Cody Rhode at WrestleMania 41 to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. In his last year in wrestling, Cena delivered on his promise to become a 17-time world champion and to ruin pro wrestling. He got the attention of Orton, who slithered his way into the ring and gave Cena an RKO.

The rivalry between Cena and Orton dates back to 2007. The two battled it out for years, whether for gold or just singles competition. This time, Cena is the heel, and Orton is the face. Who will walk out of St. Louis holding gold?

Another major match on the card is Gunther vs. Pat McAfee. Gunther lost the World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso. Feeling mocked, he attacked the commentary team and put McAfee to sleep. The former football player wants to take down the mighty Gunther and teach him a lesson.

Is McAfee biting off more than he can chew?

Several titles are on the line at Backlash outside the main event.

Lyra Valkyria defends the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch, while Dominik Mysterio defends his Intercontinental Title against Penta. Finally, Jacob Fatu defends the WWE United States Championship against LA Knight,  Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre.
