Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were founded in 2012 following the termination of Deccan Chargers after the 2011 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). 

Owned by Sun Group, SRH made some smart buys during their initial years, buying the likes of David Warner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shikhar Dhawan, and Mustafizur Rahman.

These players went on to become the pillars of SRH's title-winning squad in 2016, which remains their only IPL title to date.

SRH are known to back up-and-coming young talents. Players such as Abhishek Sharma, Thangarasu Natarajan, Umran Malik, and Abdul Samad have delivered for the team over the years.

Natarajan, Malik and Abhishek Sharma thanks to their performances with SRH, have even gone on to represent India at the international stage. 

While the franchise has struggled in recent years due to imperfect squad planning, they have made some of the most impactful IPL signings over the years. Both the blame and the credit for the two aforementioned sides of the coin go to SRH's support staff.
