In the build-up to Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana Stadium on Friday - Virat Kohli found himself at the centre of attention - and not for something usual.
During a football session before the game, the RCB star attempted a kick but hilariously missed the ball and fell to the ground. The moment was caught on camera and quickly surfaced on social media.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the rare blooper - especially given Kohli’s usually athletic demeanour. Thankfully, there was no injury scare - he instantly bounced back to his feet, chased the ball down to the boundary rope and launched it skyward towards a teammate.

It was not the kind of pre-match highlight RCB would have planned but the clip brought a light-hearted moment to what has otherwise been a tense play-off race. It also showed Kohli’s playful side which fans always enjoy getting a glimpse of during practice sessions.

What's next for RCB?
Kohli and RCB will return to action on Tuesday for their final league game against Lucknow Super Giants - again at the Ekana Stadium. With 17 points from 13 matches, Bengaluru sit third in the standings and are in the hunt for a top-two finish.
The match is important in shaping their playoff path. Virat Kohli is RCB’s leading run-scorer this season and has scored 548 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 145.35.
