Sanju Samson's future at Rajasthan Royals has come under the scanner in the past few months after reports emerged that the wicket-keeper batter is ready to part ways with RR ahead of the IPL 2026 season and wants to make a fresh start.
It was further claimed that RR are likely to oblige the request of their marquee player and could send their captain out on a trade deal.
Ever since the news came out of Samson's departure, the 30-year-old has been linked with a move to several IPL franchises, including Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

According to a TOI report last month, Samson was closely linked with a move to DC as the franchise from the national capital reportedly agreed to send Tristan Stubbs in a trade deal.
Earlier this week, Cricbuzz reported that CSK have rekindled their interest in Samson as they see the India international as a long-term replacement for MS Dhoni as the team's wicket-keeper as well as a leader.

Will Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson swap teams?
On Sunday, fresh media reports claimed that CSK are considering sending veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to RR as part of a trade deal to secure Samson's signing. However, Revsportz journalist Rohit Juglan later claimed that Jadeja is no longer part of the swap as he reportedly rejected the trade deal and wants to stay back at CSK.
As a result, if the five-time champions still plan to sign Samson, they would have to do it through an all-cash deal. The journalist further claimed that Samson is personally very eager to don the CSK shirt and play for the iconic franchise.

Sanju Samson to CSK confirmed? Former RR coach drops cryptic hint
In a latest social media post, former RR strength and conditioning coach Rajamani Prabhu, who shares a close bond with Samson, dropped a cryptic hint, which led fans to believe that the move to CSK is all but done.
On Instagram, Rajamani Prabhu shared his photograph with Sanju and in the caption posted a 'lion emoji'. While it was not a direct hint at a move, fans speculated that the lion symbolised CSK, whose official logo comprises a lion.
