The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their wait for an Indian Premier League (IPL) title at the end of IPL 2025.
However, a day later, their joy turned into a tragedy as a heartbreaking stampede broke out outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the team's title celebration event.

During the unfortunate mishap, 11 lives were lost, and several others were injured. The franchise expressed grief on June 5 before announcing their new initiative called RCB Cares on their socials.

RCB announces 25 Lakhs financial aid for deceased fans' families
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru announced a financial support of ₹25 lakhs to all the affected families on Saturday, August 30, as a part of the RCB Cares program.
Alongside the financial aid, the franchise revealed a long-term plan and meaningful commitment to honor the memories of the fans who lost their lives.
