Rashid Khan is regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in T20 cricket history. He has been among the biggest match winners across franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since his debut.

Since joining the Gujarat Titans, the leg-spinner is GT's leading wicket-taker with 65 scalps in 60 innings, including two four-fers.

However, despite being his team's most valuable bowler, there have been murmurs of a potential move away for the Afghanistan star and Mumbai Indians (MI) have been in the forefront of the rumours.

Will Rashid Khan move to the Mumbai Indians?

While discussing the trade prediction, an ESPN Cricinfo analyst discussed how the five-time champions can secure another GT match winner, following their previous acquisition of Hardik Pandya.

"I know MI for a while have their eyes on Rashid Khan, he plays for a lot of their franchises. Nobody thought they could get Hardik Pandya — I think they could go shopping on GT again to get Rashid Khan. This is just a wild prediction," ESPNcricinfo's author Dustin Silgardo said.

"In return, they can offer Naman Dhir because GT needs a good Indian finisher, Deepak Chahar, who is an upgrade on Arshad Khan and Mitch Santner, who is a very good all-rounder. I would also be open to offering Tilak Varma," he added.

There could also be some substance to this prediction, considering Rashid's affiliation with MI in the other overseas leagues. The bowler is a part of MI Cape Town, MI New York, and MI Emirates outside the IPL.
