For the time since 2022, when Gujarat Titans clinched their maiden IPL title, we will have a new team lifting the trophy. While RCB will hope to end their jinx in their fourth attempt in the final, PBKS have made it to the grandest stage only the second time in the team's history and first time since 2014.

RCB vs PBKS, IPL 2025 Final: Live scorecard & match updates

End of the match: PBKS 184/7; RCB win by 6 runs

THE WAIT IS OVER! RCB are the champions of the Indian Premier League for the first time in 18 years.

The emotions are to be seen on the ground, my hands are trembling as I write this, seeing Kohli in tears.

Josh Hazlewood finishes the business for RCB after an excellent spell from Bhuvneshwar Kumar who ended his spell with 2/38 to his name.

Shashank Singh fought with all he had and scored a gritty fifty at a good strike rate but it wasn't enough as the wickets kept falling from the other end.

AB de Villiers is on the ground, hugging his old buddy and evidently emotional after himself trying his level best to get the franchise over the line.

End of 10 overs: PBKS 81/3

PBKS has only managed to add another 29 in the last 4 overs while losing Prabhsimran and the POTM from the last game in quick succession.

Romario Shepherd got rid of Iyer on 1(2) as the batter edged one straight to the wicketkeeper.

Krunal Pandya has also squeezed in a couple of overs with only 7 runs conceded while getting rid of Prabhsimran for 26(22).

Josh Inglis is holding the fort for PBKS with Nehal Wadhera on the other end.

End of 6 overs: PBKS 52/1

The Punjab Kings have started off cautiously and have lost Priyansh Arya cheaply for 24(19).

On the other end, Prabhsimran Singh is also finding some rhythm after a couple of low scores in the playoffs as Josh Inglis joins him in the middle.

Josh Hazlewood has been the only successful bowler so far with 1/16 in his 2 overs.

End of first innings: RCB 190/9

RCB posted a decent total of 190/9 but there's a lingering feeling they may have left 15-20 runs out there. The platform was there but Punjab clawed back brilliantly in the final overs.

Jitesh Sharma provided a crucial late-innings cameo to inject some momentum but Vyshak cut that short before it could become dangerous. Arshdeep Singh delivered a sensational 20th over, conceding just 3 runs and picking up 3 wickets.

With 190 on the board, RCB have given themselves a fighting chance but Punjab will fancy their chances of chasing it down. For RCB, Josh Hazlewood will be absolutely key, his early powerplay spell could well decide the outcome of the match.

End of 10 overs: RCB 87/2

After a brisk start in the powerplay where RCB reached 55/1 in 6 overs, Punjab Kings pulled things back impressively in the next phase. Between overs 7 to 10, RCB managed just 32 runs, taking their total to 87/2 at the halfway mark.

It was a tidy passage of play from PBKS, marked by disciplined bowling and good fielding. The only wicket to fall during this period was that of Mayank Agarwal. Virat Kohli, although steady, struggled to find boundaries.

Patidar showed some intent but RCB’s scoring rate dipped noticeably. With a deep batting lineup and PBKS’s powerful top order waiting, RCB will need a strong surge in the slog overs if they aim to score big.

End of powerplay: RCB 55/1

RCB have lost Phil Salt early in the match, but are off to a steady start. Mayank Agarwal looks to be in blistering form and is getting the right support from senior colleague Virat Kohli.

7:31 PM - Here we go in Ahmedabad! Phil Salt is on strike as Arshdeep begins proceedings.

7:05 PM - Unchanged lineups for both sides. Tim David is not in the squad. We are ready for a fierce battle!

7:01 PM - Punjab Kings win the toss and decide to bowl first.

5:55 PM - RCB fever grips the streets of Ahmedabad! Imagine what will happen if they win the trophy?

4:35 PM - It has started to rain in Ahmedabad!

3:00 PM - AB de Villiers in the house! The RCB legend has arrived in Ahmedabad to cheer for his favourite team!

3:00 PM - Good news, RCB fans! Phil Salt is back in Ahmedabad after a brief trip home as he attended his child's birth, according to ESPNCricinfo. The Salt and Kohli combination will be there for RCB up to.

2:45 PM - A lovely message from Shreyas Iyer's family ahead of the final. Can Iyer win back-to-back titles as captain?

2:30 PM - The stage is set for the biggest match of the season at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The toss is scheduled at 7 PM IST.
