R Ashwin, a former Indian international spinner, has verified that Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Supergiants have reached an agreement for a trade deal to acquire the services of national team all-rounder Shardul Thakur.

Ashwin spoke about IPL trade-offs prior to the mini-auction next month, stating that the five-time champions probably won't release any players. However, Deepak Chahar's future is uncertain after they agreed to sign Thakur from LSG.

Teams are actively negotiating player deals before the IPL mini-auction scheduled for December.

The most significant development during this time was Sanju Samson joining Chennai Super Kings as part of a trade that sent Ravindra Jadeja to Rajasthan Royals.

The agreement between CSK and RR is nearly finalized, with official confirmation from both teams expected shortly.

R Ashwin confirms Mumbai Indians have reached an agreement on a trade deal with Lucknow Super Giants. 

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said: "I don't see MI releasing any player. Their only question would be around Deepak Chahar, who is a bit injury-prone. They have secured Shardul Thakur on a trade with LSG, that is done."
