Which teams have won the most IPL titles?

CSK and Mumbai Indians are the most decorated teams in the history of the IPL, with five titles each to their names. CSK have also reached the final the most number of times, as they have appeared in the grand finale in 10 out of the 18 seasons of the IPL.

KKR trails them, having secured the title three times, most recently in 2024. The current champions, however, are Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who claimed their first championship in IPL 2025, assisting Virat Kohli in overcoming his long-standing struggle.

The Deccan Chargers stand as the sole champion franchise to have ceased operations, with the former victors being disbanded in 2012.
