Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja: A player exchange between CSK and RR

One of the biggest moves ahead of IPL 2026 is the exchange of Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja.

With speculation about Samson's potential transfer to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) having subsided, it's now official that he'll be traded to CSK.

Sam Curran was also acquired by Rajasthan Royals through a trade, marking one of the most significant player swaps in IPL history.

Prominent cricketers' trade speculation ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction

SRH is reportedly considering trading Mohammed Shami, following hints from LSG via an X post about a potential trade involving X.

LSG is reportedly set to sign Shami, though an official confirmation is still pending. The specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed.

Mumbai Indians acquire Ishan Kishan

The previous IPL champion with MI, now with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) after the IPL 2025 mega auction, is also rumored to be traded back to MI.

Recent reports indicate that the franchises are engaged in talks regarding a possible agreement, as the Men in Blue require a domestic wicketkeeper-batter.

As of now, the possibilities of this move are grim, but a return cannot be ruled out completely.

Kolkata Knight Riders acquire KL Rahul

The Knight Riders showed significant interest in acquiring KL Rahul, aiming to secure an Indian wicketkeeper batter and a captaincy choice.

It was, however, noted that the Delhi Capitals' (DC) proposal for an immediate swap involving Sunil Narine, or alternatively Angkrish Raghuvanshi plus Rinku Singh or Harshit Rana, was promptly rejected by the two-time champions.
