As Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Virat Kohli ended their wait for the Indian Premier League trophy, England football team captain Harry Kane sent his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian icon and his team.
Kohli and RCB had to wait for the trophy since 2008, but they finally did it after beating PBKS by six runs in the grand finale at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A few years ago, when Kohli was in London and Kane was still a Tottenham Hotspur player, the duo was seen together exchanging their jerseys, and the picture went viral with the 'trophyless' joke.
Incidentally, 2025 also saw Kane ending his trophy curse as he lifted the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich, thus winning his first-ever trophy as a professional footballer.

Harry Kane sends special message to Virat Kohli and RCB after IPL win
Following Bengaluru's 6-run win over the Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad, the Bayern striker took it to Instagram and called the first IPL title an unreal achievement, while congratulating Kohli and co.
"One from the archives to say a massive congrats to @virat.kohli and @royalchallengers.bengaluru on a first IPL title!! Unreal achievement 🏏🏆" wrote the football star.
