After being strongly linked to potentially acquiring Rajasthan Royals' skipper Sanju Samson in a swap trade deal for Ravindra Jadeja, fresh reports now suggest that the franchise is looking for another major trade before finalising their retentions on November 15.
Who are the four players linked to be traded to CSK before IPL 2026 retention deadline?
Beyond the high-profile trade involving Samson and Jadeja, CSK could well be looking for another major trade ahead of the mini-auctions next month.
As per reports from Rohit Juglan, the five-time champions are eyeing one of the four players between Tushar Deshpande, Deepak Chahar, Glenn Maxwell, and Liam Livingston in an all-cash deal.

All Cash will be priority from CSK
Adding fuel to the fire, India's legendary off-spinner and former CSK player R Ashwin Tweeted - 'Some news coming CSK way,' which further added to the speculations.
Deshpande and Chahar have been familiar faces for the CSK setup and have played a crucial role during their time with the franchise. The duo moved to the Rajasthan Royals and the Mumbai Indians, respectively, after CSK failed to buy them back in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Maxwell and Livingston, on the other hand, could play an integral role and add to the batting firepower for CSK in the middle phase, an area where the side has been lacking for the past few years.
The overseas duo could also be an ideal replacement if CSK were to trade away Jadeja and Sam Curran to RR.
When is the IPL 2026 Retention deadline?
November 15 is the last date for all ten IPL franchises to lock in their retained and released players ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini-auctions.
The Mini-auction is expected to take place on December 16th and will be held in Abu Dhabi
When does the IPL trade window close?
The IPL trade window is currently open, and the sides could continue their trade deals until the BCCI officially closes the trade window before the auctions.
With the Auction likely to take place in December, the trade window might close a week before, which can be during the first week of December.
