CSK is looking to build a team for the post-Dhoni era and has traded in RR skipper Sanju Samson for Jadeja and Sam Curran.

In an emotional tribute to one of their greatest all-rounders, the franchise posted a heartfelt video and mentioned, "The Sword that guarded the Yellove kingdom. There are players and there are protectors. He was both. Today, we bow in gratitude. For the finishes. For the breakthrough spells. Always our RaJa. Always our Thalapathy. Always our Jaddu!"

Ravindra Jadeja back with the Rajasthan Royals

Life has come a full circle for Indian all-rounder Jadeja, who began his IPL journey with the Rajasthan Royals in 2008. He is now back with the franchise 17 years later, having achieved several significant accolades in his career.

Jadeja's inclusion will stabilise the Royals' middle-order, which has been a cause of concern for the franchise in the last few seasons but particularly last season.

The all-rounder can also provide the team with a potential captaincy option, with a leadership role also reportedly being one of his demands before agreeing to the trade move.
