With the IPL 2026 Mini-Auction set to take place in a month, the IPL trade window is buzzing with high-profile trade rumors.

As per the latest developments, CSK's star all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran are in line to be traded to the Jaipur-based team in place of the Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson.

India's veteran spinner R Ashwin has now added fuel to the trade rumours, claiming he heard that RR had also received a trade offer from the Punjab Kings.

Did RR reject PBKS offer to swap Marcus Stoinis and Sanju Samson?

Speaking on his own YouTube Channel, Ashwin claimed that the Royals received an offer from the Punjab Kings, who wanted to bring in Samson in exchange for the Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.

"I heard this murmur that it wasn't just Delhi or Chennai that were in the race (to get Sanju Samson), but Rajasthan also got a trade offer from the Punjab Kings. Rajasthan wanted a bowler and finisher combination. I hear that Marcus Stoinis might have also been on the table."

Samson has been the biggest name making the rounds in trade deals. He has been a part of the Rajasthan Royals since 2013 and has led the side for the past few seasons.

He had a subpar season in 2025, playing just 9 games and scoring only 285 runs after suffering multiple injuries throughout the season.

When is the IPL 2026 retention deadline?

The IPL retention deadline is November 15, by which all teams must submit their lists of retained and released players.

The mini-auction is expected to take place in mid-December next month.
