Tyrrell Hatton may not be a household name in golf, but fans will certainly get to know him better as he's in contention heading into the final round of the 2025 British Open.

Hatton, 33, was born in England in 1991 and turned professional in 2011, a couple month's shy of his 20th birthday. He competed on the European Tour first, before eventually going to LIV Golf

He is still searching for his first victory in a major, even though he's finished in the top 10 at all of them throughout his career.

Where is Tyrrell Hatton from?

Hatton was born in Buckinghamshire, England in 1991. As a 19-year-old amateur, he qualified for the 2010 Open Championship.

Hatton joined the European Tour in 2014 and got his first victory on the PGA Tour in 2020 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He joined LIV Golf in 2024.

How old is Tyrrell Hatton?

Hatton is 33 but has been playing professional golf since he was 19. The Englishman first turned professional in 2011, starting out of the Jamega Pro Golf Tour.

Has Tyrrell Hatton won a major?

Hatton has not yet won a major in his career, but he has a top-10 finish to his name in all four majors. He's made 12 appearances in the Open Championship and 11 appearances in the PGA Championship.

Hatton's best major finish was at the 2016 Open Championship, where he finished in solo fifth place He had the best score of any Englishman in the tournament.
