Tottenham Hotspur have had a decent start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign by winning four out of their first seven league fixtures.

These are still early days into the new season, but Spurs are third in the points table only two points behind current leaders Arsenal.

The Lilywhites have shown exceptional improvement under Thomas Frank in comparison to their disastrous league campaign last season.

Frank has instilled a sense of positivity at the club and therefore several players have stepped up their game under his leadership.

One such player has to be Richarlison, who has been Frank's main man upfront and with his newfound confidence, the Brazilian forward has delivered with three goals and a solitary assist from his seven league appearances.

The 28-year-old has been more involved in buildup whilst also bringing the goalscoring instinct of a top number 9.

However, before his purple patch under Frank this season, Richarlison was approached by Major League Soccer outfit Orlando City as revealed by reports from ESPN Brazil

Orlando City led by director Ricardo Moreira presented Richarlison's entourage a project where the Brazilian would have been the centerpiece of the team.

They were ready to offer a potential transfer fee of €40 million ($46.4m) for the Brazilian but with his decision to stay at Spurs, the move didn't materialize.

However, the 28-year-old chose to stay at North London as he felt playing for Spurs would significantly increase his chances of featuring in the World Cup next year.

He reportedly blocked a move from a Saudi Pro League club this summer as he was determined to give at least another season to Spurs before moving elsewhere and with Frank's appointment it looks like a great decision right now.

Richarlison is currently in his fourth season for Tottenham, and he moved to North London in 2022 from Everton and he has never really got going for the Lilywhites.

Overall, the Brazilian has only netted 23 goals in 101 appearances for Tottenham which includes 12 goals in 31 appearances back in 2023/24 season.

He is desperate to turn the tables this season and showcase his goalscoring prowess and Frank has shown that trust in him as he continues to prefer Richarlison upfront ahead of forwards like Mathys Tel and on loan star Randal Kolo Muani.

Currently, he is on international duty with Brazil and will look to replicate his club form for the Selecaos as they take the field against South Korea and Japan in international friendlies.
