Endrick was apparently set to leave on loan before injury changed everything. Now, Real Madrid may be forced to rethink their attacking plans.

Real Madrid's big summer signing, Endrick, was reportedly just “days away” from leaving the club on loan — until a sudden injury put the brakes on the plan.

The Brazilian teenager arrived in Madrid with huge expectations after completing his move from Palmeiras.

But with names like Kylian Mbappe and Vinícius Junior already ahead of him, minutes were always going to be hard to find.

Three La Liga starts and seven goals across all competitions haven’t quite been enough to silence the questions.

Real Madrid had apparently agreed on a deal with Real Sociedad to send the 18-year-old forward out on loan. The goal was simple — give him more time on the pitch to grow.

But as fate would have it, Endrick suffered a hamstring injury relapse during the Club World Cup and the move fell apart faster than a counterattack gone wrong.

Spanish reporter Arancha Rodríguez revealed on COPE’s El Partidazo: "He had practically everything agreed to play a year on loan at Real Sociedad. It was a matter of days."

And just like that, a move designed to help Endrick develop quietly in La Liga’s top tier was gone. Now, he’s expected to be sidelined until at least late September. So, what's next for the youngster?

Should Real Madrid sell Endrick?

Selling Endrick seems unlikely at this point. The club still believes in his long-term potential.

His injury isn’t career-threatening, and Madrid is known for being patient with their talents — sometimes even too patient, if you ask certain fans.

But there’s another twist in this story. With Endrick staying, young striker Gonzalo García might not get his chance to shine in the first team.

It’s a case of one door opening and another one slamming shut — football really is a game of fine margins.

Now, Real Madrid must decide: trust their teenage star to recover and contribute this season, or revisit the loan idea in January?
