Real Madrid are back in La Liga action on October 19 on the road at neighbours Getafe.

Xabi Alonso's side make the short trip across the capital looking to keep up the early title pressure on Barcelona with just one defeat in all competitions so far in 2025/26.

However, Alonso needs to rally his squad ahead of a busy few weeks including an El Clasico showdown with Hansi Flick's defending champions on October 26 and Champions League dates against Juventus and Liverpool.

Getafe have been their traditionally gritty selves so far this season with Jose Bordalas' hosts unbeaten at home.

Real Madrid have managed to win their last four games at Getafe but all four victories have been with less than three goals scored.

Bordalas has stuck with a fairly consistent team so far this season with six players starting at least seven of their eight league outings.

The main recall for the home side could be captain Djene Dakonam after the Togo international was rested from the start of Getafe's 2-1 loss at Osasuna before the FIFA break.

Getafe predicted starting XI (5-3-2): Soria (GK) — Femenia, Iglesias, Djene, Duarte, Rico — Milla, Arambarri, Martin — Mayoral, Sanchis.

Injured: None
Suspended: None

Alonso was left frustrated by the international window as Dean Huijsen and Franco Mastantuono both returned injured.

Spain star Huijsen is ruled out with a calf strain and Mastantuono picked up a muscle issue on Argentina duty.

With El Clasico on the horizon, Alonso will not risk either player here, but his defensive resources are severely limited.

Dani Carvajal, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Antonio Rudger and Ferland Mendy are all still sidelined with Fede Valverde expected to cover at right-back as Raul Asencio replaces Huijsen at the heart of Alonso's back line.

Jude Bellingham was not called up by England, as he builds up to full fitness after shoulder surgery, but he should be OK to make his second league start of the campaign here.

Real Madrid predicted starting XI (4-2-3-1): Courtois (GK) — Valverde, Asencio, Militao, Carreras — Tchouameni, Bellingham — Rodrygo, Guler, Vinicius Jr — Mbappe.

Injured: Huijsen (calf), Mendy (muscle), Mastantuono (muscle), Carvajal (calf), Trent (hamstring), Rudiger (hamstring).
Suspended: None
