Cristiano Ronaldo’s stint at Al-Nassr has been underwhelming by his legendary standards. Since joining the Saudi Pro League club in 2023, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been unable to deliver an official trophy.

Despite his star power and goal-scoring prowess, Al-Nassr have fallen short in key competitions, including a failure to qualify for the AFC Champions League this season—a major blow to the club’s ambitions.

Ronaldo, now 40, has recently hinted at the possibility of leaving the club, sparking speculation about his future.

However, Al-Nassr have put those rumours to rest, at least for now, by confirming that the Portugal captain will remain with the team until the end of his contract in July 2025.

Despite this announcement, reports suggest that the club is already planning for life after Ronaldo.

The Colombian international, who has impressed during his time at Anfield, has been linked with a summer move, with Barcelona previously showing interest before pulling out of the race.

In the meantime, Ronaldo is expected to feature in the FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States this June. FIFA President Gianni Infantino has backed the Portuguese star’s participation in the tournament, adding to its global appeal. Yet, questions still loom over what comes next for Ronaldo after 2025.

As one of football’s most iconic figures, Ronaldo’s future continues to capture headlines. Whether he ends his career in Saudi Arabia or seeks one final chapter elsewhere, the world will be watching closely.

For now, Al-Nassr are looking to make the most of his remaining time while preparing for a future beyond their No. 7.
