2023 winners Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund meet at the Etihad Stadium with both sides looking to continue their strong Champions League starts.

The two sides sit on seven points after three games with only Paris-Saint Germain having scored more than Dortmund and Erling Haaland unsurprisingly among the individual top scorers.

Like in the Premier League, Haaland has been City's main goal supply in Europe, scoring four of City's goals in wins over Napoli and Villarreal that was sandwiched by a draw away to Monaco.

Dortmund threw away a late two-goal in drawing 4-4 away to Juventus to kick off their campaign but have since convincingly beaten Athletic Club and Copenhagen, scoring four in each of those games.

Will Haaland fire again against his former club or can Dortmund pull off a famous win? AllSportsPeople brings you this betting preview complete with the latest tips, predictions and odds.

Man City vs. Borussia Dortmund preview: Who will win tonight?

Since losing 2-0 to Tottenham back in August, City have been dominant at the Etihad Stadium, winning all five games and scoring 15 goals.

Haaland has scored in all of them, hitting braces in each of his last four home league game, and already has a staggering 17 club goals this season.

That makes it incredibly hard to back against City but we think Dortmund will give them a worry or two along the way.

Man City vs. Borussia Dortmund Score Prediction

With both sides, and Haaland specifically, full of goals right now, this could be an absolute cracker.

Both sides to score seems the obvious pick but the Norwegian is a near-guarantee of a goal (despite overperforming his xG 2.17 to 4) or two so a City win is the tip here.

Prediction: Man City 3-1 Borussia Dortmund (10.39 with Dafabet)

Erling Haaland scored a stunning 86 goals in 89 appearances for Dortmund across three seasons, including 62 in 67 Bundesliga outings. Perhaps more remarkably, he has kept pace with this scoring rate at Man City, scoring 141 times in 159 matches to date.
