Arsenal are on the verge of confirming their place in the Champions League Round of 16 when they face Inter Milan on Tuesday.

Mikel Arteta's team have won six out of six to sit top of the league phase table and only need a point to be mathematically certain of going straight into the knockout round proper.

Inter, finalists in two of the past three seasons, are also inside the top eight but only ahead of ninth-place Liverpool on goal difference as they scramble to avoid the playoff round.

It's the second season in succession Inter have hosted Arsenal in the league phase. Hakan Calhanoglu's penalty was the difference when the Nerazzuri won 1-0 in November 2024.

37 mins: Saka tries to curl one from outside the box and that wasn't far away at all.

Arsenal score their 19th goal from a corner this season and it's wonderfully done. So simple. Trossard nods back across goal from the cluster of players and the far post and Jesus has a simple finish for his second.

27 mins:: Inter tear through Arsenal on the break in a manner you don't tend to see. Susic involved again before Thuram lashes just over. The front two of Martinez and Thuram are giving Arsenal's back four the type of problem they don't typically have to contend with.

19 mins: Back come Arsenal and Eze hits the side netting. This is fun! Which, with due respect to those involved, I wasn't exactly expecting.

Offf, what a hit! Inter are level in spectacular fashion. The ball breaks to the edge of the box and Susic hits it crisply in to the top corner.
