Frankfurt vs. Liverpool prediction, lineups, betting odds, tips and TV as Reds seek redemption in Champions League image

With the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign continuing, Liverpool must arrest their recent slide when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt.

The question marks are swirling around Arne Slot's side, who are under increasing pressure to get their campaign back on track ahead of a tricky test in Germany tonight.

The 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester United on Sunday was the Premier League champions’ fourth successive defeat across all competitions.

Frankfurt, under the management of Dino Toppmoller, are a club who are consistently in a state of regeneration after the sale of a major talent  and   this season appears no different, with this game marking a return to Germany for Hugo Ekitike, after he was sold to Liverpool over the summer.

AllSportsPeople brings you this betting preview, complete with the latest tips, predictions and odds.

Frankfurt vs. Liverpool: Who Will Win?

Eintracht Frankfurt come into this one on the back of a 2-2 draw with Freiburg at the weekend and they have been brilliant to watch so far this season, with their seven Bundesliga matches having consisted of 37 goals.

In the Champions League, they have registered a similarly thrilling 5-1 victory over Galatasaray and a defeat to Atletico Madrid by the same scoreline.

Liverpool, meanwhile, head to Germany amid talk of a mini crisis. The Reds will still believe they can rediscover some sort of fluency, although it isn't just their attack that is misfiring.

Defensive issues were clear at the start of the campaign, too, and with two sides who have been erratic of late, this one could be entertaining to say the least.

Frankfurt vs. Liverpool Score Prediction

Liverpool, just through the sheer weight of statistical probability, will be expected to end what is already a bizarrely long losing streak and yet there are so many issues for them to solve.

They do, though, come up against a Frankfurt side who are currently in similarly in average form and more than capable of giving even the most reactive of sides plenty of chances.

This has the potential to be a real thriller for the neutral as Liverpool try to arrest their slide against one of the most entertaining teams in European football.

Prediction: Frankfurt 2-2 Liverpool (12.86 with Dafabet)

Frankfurt vs. Liverpool Team News

Frankfurt Team News

  • Dino Toppmoller is keen on playing the 3-4-2-1 system, even after the sale of Hugo Ekitike in the summer and Omar Marmoush in the winter, with new signing Jonathan Burkardt tasked with taking on that mantle.
  • The German team do have a couple of key injury absentees, as both Elias Baum and Oscar Hojlund are sidelined.
  • The 3-4-2-1 can be moulded into a 4-2-3-1, with Nathaniel Brown pushing on further up to more of a left-wing slot and Arthur Theate moving wide to left-back.

Liverpool Team News

  • Liverpool head to Germany with a dilemma over the make up of their attack, with Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak both out of form, while Ekitike is pushing for inclusion.
  • The Reds have not yet seen Florian Wirtz flourish but he did offer something of a spark off the bench at the weekend and so he should come into the XI.
  • They do have a couple of key midfield injury doubts, too, as both Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo are both potentially sidelined for this one.
