Cristiano Ronaldo may have just played his last game for Al Nassr.

After a tough 3-2 defeat to Al Fateh on the final day of the Saudi Pro League season, the Portuguese star took to social media with words that raised plenty of eyebrows — and even more questions.

Ronaldo scored Al Nassr’s first goal of the night in the 42nd minute. But his effort was quickly leveled, and although Sadio Mane restored their lead, Al Fateh pulled off a late comeback.

The result left Al Nassr in third place, short of both the title and a spot in next season’s AFC Champions League.

That wasn’t the only blow of the night. What Ronaldo posted afterward has fans around the world buzzing. “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”

That’s all he said — but it spoke volumes.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play in Club World Cup now?

At 40, Ronaldo has shown few signs of slowing down. With 93 goals and 18 assists in 105 games for Al-Nassr, his numbers remain strong.

But silverware has been harder to come by. The Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 is the only trophy he has lifted during his time in Saudi Arabia.

Now, as his contract ends next month, speculation is heating up. Could he return to Europe? Perhaps back to Sporting Lisbon? Or will he take his talents to the United States for one final dance in MLS?

Even FIFA president Gianni Infantino hinted at Ronaldo featuring in the Club World Cup this summer, saying:

“Ronaldo might play for one of the teams… there are discussions.”

One thing is clear: Ronaldo’s boots aren’t getting hung up just yet. With Portugal facing Germany in the UEFA Nations League semi-final on June 4, and the World Cup in 2026 on the horizon, he still has goals to chase—literally.
