Newcastle United have gone through a lot of disappointment throughout the summer transfer window as they have missed out on several players.
The Magpies desperately need players to increase their depth and quality as they will be featuring in the Champions League this season.
With Alexander Isak gone on striker trying to force his way out of St. James Park with his intention of joining Liverpool.
However, after a lot of struggles they eventually landed Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade for a big money move to replace the Sweden International.
With their primary objective done, Newcastle United are pursuing a move for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi as per reports via Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Eddie Howe has desperately asked for more reinforcements in midfield and attack with Sandro Tonali and Joelinton suffering injuries and lack of depth in that department at Newcastle.

They have made a great acquisition in Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa, but they need more players to balance out the workload in midfield.
Why are Newcastle United chasing Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi?
Frattesi could be a viable option in Howe's system especially with his creativity, box-crashing, positional sense, dribbling and pace.

The 25-year-old could provide a great backup for Tonali as he has similar traits to his compatriot and also brings a lot of experience of playing in Champions League and also for Italy national team.
Frattesi featured in 47 games for Inter Milan last season, netting seven goals and two assists. He scored two goals in the Champions League last season and both of them were crucial match winning strikes against Bayern Munich and Barcelona in quarterfinal and semifinals respectively.
Therefore, he will provide a great goalscoring output from midfield for Newcastle United whilst having several defensive traits that allows him to also feature as box-to-box midfielder.
He has also appeared 29 times for the Azzurri, scoring nine goals and has been a part of the national team setup under manager Gennaro Gattuso.
