Manchester United are desperate for a striker, with the club already securing two of their top targets.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have both joined the Mancunian side, but Ruben Amorim doesn't want to be done in the transfer window yet.

The club has been linked with multiple strikers, but United have now made an approach for a highly-rated Bundesliga striker.

Which striker has United joined the race for?

According to Fabrizio Romano, United have approached Benjamin Sesko's camp about conditions for a deal.

Sesko has also been approached by Newcastle, who are preparing for Alexander Isak to leave the club.

The Bundesliga striker looked close to a move to Arsenal, but the deal ultimately fell through, paving way for other suitors to join the race.

Sky Sports Germany correspondent Florian Plettenberg has reported that Sesko is impressed by United's approach, which could point to the Slovenian's desire to join the club.

Sesko has scored 27 goals in the Bundesliga since joining Leipzig, which is a stat that United will be pleased in after their striker failures.

The battle between Manchester United and Newcastle will be one to watch, as both clubs are prepared to make their bids for Sesko.
