Manchester City are still hoping to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma, but the deal is dependent on the exit of another goalkeeper from City's squad.

James Trafford has been City's number one in their first two matches of the Premier League season, with Ederson being kept out of the squad.

It looked likely that Ederson would stay with City as the transfer window winds down, but a new club has emerged in the race for the Brazilian's signature.

Which club has entered the race for Ederson?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahce have registered their interest in signing Ederson.

Galatasaray were leading the race, but City rejected a €10m bid for the Brazilian.

City have already agreed personal terms with Donnarumma, who would join if Ederson's move goes through.

Goalkeeping errors have troubled City, as Trafford suffered a horror game against Tottenham, with the young keeper gifting the ball to Spurs in the buildup to their second goal.

Donnarumma excelled for PSG in the Champions League last season, and his presence in the team could help Pep Guardiola's defense massively.

If Ederson completes a move to Fenerbahce, Donnarumma is likely to take City's starting goalkeeper spot, with James Trafford and Stefan Ortega serving as backups.
