Manchester City are anticipated to have a great haul in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Following an underwhelming season, with no major trophy and a third-place finish in the Premier League, Man City have been linked with several top names for a potential transfer to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
Man City also have their first match of the 2025 Club World Cup upcoming, against Moroccan side Wydad AC on June 18, at Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Several reports have also suggested that City are trying to wrap up some signings ahead of the Club World Cup so that they can include the new signees in their squad for the competition.
Now, Man City head coach Pep Guardiola has revealed what is his and the club's approach in this transfer window.
What did Man City boss Pep Guardiola say?
When asked about the additions he is considering during the summer transfer window, Guardiola told ESPN that his aim is the same as always.

"Always the same: Give me good players. The rest, it doesn't matter. The good players can adapt and adjust. We will adapt the movement or tactics or whatever things we say as managers for the quality of the players."
The Catalan manager further emphasized on his desire to bring 'top players' to the Etihad while mentioning that the potential changes are not only due to City's disappointing run this term.
"And especially [give me] players that go to Anfield, go to [Real] Madrid, the Bernabéu, Barcelona, Camp Nou or wherever and say: 'OK, I'm going to play my best.' That is the difference, the top players have that," added Guardiola.
"But we are not adjusting for the fact that we [had a tough season]. If we win, I don't have to adjust anything? That is a mistake. When you win, you also have to adjust things. Day by day, game by game, week by week [you adjust]. Of course we are going to adjust some things, but not for the fact that we just won the Community Shield," he concluded.
It remains to be seen how the summer transfer window unfolds for Guardiola & Co.
