Speaking to fans directly, Al Mubarak offered some hope ahead of a crucial summer window.
“We will be back and the aim is to build something even better,” he said. “History is great — but then there’s a new page to write. The future is about what we can do together.”
The chairman also shared that the club began working on the rebuild as early as January. That process will now pick up speed, with new faces expected to arrive before City’s trip to the Club World Cup in June.
“We’ve identified who the targets are, in what positions, and have clear No. 1 and No. 2 options,” Al Mubarak added. “Our objective is to be ready with the new squad for the Club World Cup.”
With Liverpool reclaiming the league crown and rivals strengthening, Guardiola knows he must reload to keep City at the top. The transfer window now becomes the pitch where City must score — and fast.
