Chelsea have had an eventual start to their 2025/26 season as they struggled with injuries and disciplinary issues whilst suffering some poor results across competitions.
However, for every defeat that they suffered, the Blues have also pulled off a performance like their win against Liverpool in the Premier League heading into the October international break.
Amidst their injury issues and poor disciplinary record, Enzo Maresca has missed a forward who has been a regular goalscoring threat.
New signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap started the campaign really well but since the latter's injury, Chelsea have been in a fix in looking for a centre-forward.
Considering their depth in the position they recalled Marc Guiu from Sunderland, cancelling his loan move but since then the teenager has hardly got opportunities to feature for Chelsea as Maresca prefers Tyrique George over the Spaniard to play in a proper central role.
Looking at the situation, Guiu has grown a frustrated figure and as per reports via GiveMeSport, the 19-year-old Spaniard is desperately looking for another loan move to Sunderland in the January transfer window.

He initially moved to the Black Cats on loan and even scored in their Carabao Cup fixture before getting recalled due to Delap's injury in August.
If he decides to return to Sunderland in January, then it would be good for both the parties as Guiu will get more exposure in the Premier League which will help him grow whilst the Black Cats will also get a player who has the potential and urge to prove his doubters.
Why are Chelsea not looking to sell Guiu?
Guiu established himself at La Masia and caught the eye of Chelsea scouts as they eventually signed the young forward in July 2024 for a meagre €6m ($7m) transfer fee.
When he moved to Stamford Bridge, there was a lot of expectation among the Chelsea fans as they had high hopes from the La Masia graduate.

But the 19-year-old's development has been slow, and he has failed to earn Maresca's trust as the Italian has hardly given him clear opportunities despite being shorthanded in the centre-forward position.
When Delap got injured, Chelsea were also open to block Nicolas Jackson's loan move to Bayern Munich but considering the money involved in that deal, they decided against it and eventually recalled Guiu.
But things haven't worked out as the youngster has only featured 17 minutes for Chelsea since returning from Sunderland where he played full 90 minutes in a single Carabao Cup fixture.
However, despite being out of favour and not getting enough opportunities, Chelsea are reportedly not ready to sell the youngster as they believe he will realize his potential in the near future.
Guiu showed signs of promise last season especially in the Conference League where he scored six goals in seven games guiding the Blues to the European crown.
It will be interesting to see if Guiu returns to Sunderland on loan in January or he gets more opportunities at Chelsea after the international break. But with Delap's return from injury later this season, he is expected to play minimal role for the Blues.
