Nicolas Jackson’s agent reveals Chelsea loanee’s ‘objective’ at Bayern Munich image

Nicolas Jackson joined Bayern Munich from Chelsea on a season-long loan on the summer transfer deadline day for a reported fee of €16.5m.

The Senegal star's loan deal includes an option to turn into a permanent transfer worth €65m if he starts 40 matches for Bayern this season, excluding appearances in the DFB Pokal.

With the Bundesliga only having 34 league games a season, Jackson would have to make to make it to Bayern's starting squad for the Champions League to secure a longer stay at Munich.

Earlier this month, Bayern director Uli Hoeness cast doubts on Jackson's chances of making a permanent move to the German club and said,

"There will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start, it will never happen."

Despite this admission, Jackson appears to remain focused on proving himself at Bayern and told BILD,

"My focus is on giving my best here. Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world. If everything goes well and everyone is happy, I would, of course, like to stay. But now it’s about the present. Work hard, do my best."

And now, Jackson's agent Diomansy Kamara has confirmed the 24-year-old's 'objective' at Bayern, while candidly claiming that the striker 'doesn't see himself returning to Chelsea.'

What did Nicolas Jackson's agent say?

While speaking on French TV's Canal+ Sport, Kamara addressed the situation surrounding Jackson between Chelsea and Bayern, referring to it as 'a war of egos between the two clubs,' and said,

"Today at Chelsea, the relationship with (Enzo) Maresca isn't necessarily the best. It's a war of egos between the two clubs. He (Hoeness) even rowed back on his comments. It's true that there is a saga around the transfer. There was talk around how many matches Nico would have to play for an obligatory option," as per GOAL.

Kamara also mentioned that Bayern has been a 'priority' to Jackson for a 'very long time,' and added,

"Nico's objective isn't to play 40 matches. If he scores 15 goals by December, they're not going to say, 'Play 40 matches'. He doesn't see himself returning to Chelsea (...) Let him have a good season, and in the end, we'll see what's best for him. But it's true that Bayern is a priority for a very long time ."

While it remains to be seen where he ends up at the end of the season, Jackson will now be focusing on securing a start in Bayern's upcoming Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim at PreZero Arena on September 20.
