On the last day of the summer transfer window, Chelsea have reportedly discussed signing a striker from a top European club before the window closes.
This move comes on the back of the uncertainty surrounding Nicolas Jackson’s future at the club.
It is being widely reported that Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich is now off, but it remains to be seen if the 24-year-old returns to Chelsea or not.
If he does not return, the Blues could end up signing a new striker in order to replace him.
One of the players that Chelsea have discussed internally is Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Frenchman was on Chelsea’s radar back in June, but the Premier League side seem to have resurrected their interest in the player.

Chelsea consider signing Randal Kolo Muani on deadline day
Following the injury to Liam Delap on Saturday, Chelsea are considering signing Randal Kolo Muani as his replacement.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea have discussed bringing Kolo Muani to West London before the 7 PM transfer deadline.

It was thought that the 26-year-old wanted to join Juventus, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, but the Italian giants have not been able to agree a deal with PSG.
It could present Chelsea with an opportunity to swoop in and sign the France international.
Kolo Muani spent the last season on loan at Juventus and had a productive spell in Italy. In 16 appearances for the Old Lady, he managed to score eight goals.
In total, Kolo Muani netted 10 times in 22 outings for Juventus, bagging a couple of goals at the Club World Cup along the way.
Despite Chelsea considering a move for the player, it would be a surprise if he actually moves to the club, as Delap is out only for a couple of months and not the entire season.
In the interim, Chelsea have a number of different players who can play in that position and fill the void left by Delap’s absence.
