A Chelsea player has reportedly changed his mind about leaving Stamford Bridge, as some transfer windows remain open this summer.
Though most transfer windows shut last Monday, there are still some open for now.
Chelsea had a busy deadline day, and they were well and truly caught up in some sagas as they tried to offload a number of players.
While the Blues succeeded for the most part, some players still find themselves stuck at the club and out of the first team’s plans.
One such player is Chelsea’s highest-earning player, Raheem Sterling, who is still at the club and is now unlikely to move on from Stamford Bridge until the January window at least.
Reportedly, there were five clubs interested in signing Sterling during the recently concluded summer transfer window, but no move materialised for the English international.

Raheem Sterling changes his mind about transfer away during the ongoing window
According to a report by Football Insider, Raheem Sterling is now set to remain at Chelsea until the January transfer window after changing his mind on a move to a league whose transfer window is still open.
A move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia is still an option for the 30-year-old, as both countries have later transfer deadlines than the Premier League.

However, as things stand, the out-of-favour attacker is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge despite not playing, and Chelsea will not be forcing him out the door, per the same report.
While Sterling’s decision has no direct impact on the club, from a fan’s point of view, it is sad to see the player waste his prime years by not playing.
