But one strange moment during the celebrations has grabbed everyone’s attention — and it involves Dani Olmo and a chair.

The Spanish playmaker, back in his home country after shining in Germany, seemed to channel something more than just joy as he held a chair up in front of the Camp Nou faithful.

And naturally, fans were quick to wonder: was Olmo throwing shade at Real Madrid?

The moment quickly made waves on social media. Barcelona supporters saw it as a cheeky nod — or perhaps a jab — at their fierce rivals.

Real Madrid’s David Alaba famously celebrated with a white chair during their Champions League comeback against PSG a few years ago. Now, Olmo’s version has fans connecting the dots.

A fan on X (formerly Twitter) explained it this way: “He is copying an iconic celebration of David Alaba when Real Madrid performed a stunning comeback in the UCL 4 seasons ago. Alaba picked a chair and showed it, saying: ‘Don't sit on our chair.’”

Barcelona fans weren’t holding back either. Some started calling him “Dani Alaba Olmo,” while others joked that he was “claiming the throne” with that chair in hand. Not everyone was laughing, though.

One annoyed Madrid supporter fired back online: “They are so obsessed with us, it's crazy. Btw, Alaba lifted the chair when we won the UCL, just saying.”

Olmo himself hasn’t said a word about the celebration. Whether it was a dig or just a random act, it’s given fans something to talk about beyond the pitch. The chair wars, it seems, are alive and well.
