The ICC has confirmed record-breaking prize money for the Women’s World Cup 2025, the highest ever in the history of the tournament. 

The Indian women's cricket team rewrote history on Sunday as they beat South Africa by 52 runs in the final to lift their maiden ICC Women's World Cup title. Harmanpreet Kaur and her side went full throttle at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai to bring the cup home.

What is the prize money for the Women’s World Cup 2025?

The ICC has announced a total prize pool of $13.88 million (around ₹115 crore),  a massive jump from the $3.5 million offered in 2022.

This is also the first time the women’s tournament will surpass the prize fund of a men’s World Cup.

The winning team will receive $4.48 million (approx ₹40 crore), while the runners-up will take home $2.24 million (₹20 crore). Both semi-finalists are set to earn $1.12 million (₹9.3 crore) each.
