India's historic Women's World Cup win in Navi Mumbai has sparked not just nationwide celebration but also a pointed remark from the BCCI.

He said that while the women's team received their World Cup trophy "immediately and without drama," the Asia Cup trophy "has still not landed in the BCCI office."

"When our men's team won the Asia Cup in Dubai, the trophy, till date, has not arrived in India," Saikia said.

According to Saikia, the BCCI has already written to the ACC requesting the handover of the trophy. He added that if it is not delivered by November 3, the issue will be escalated to the ICC meeting in Dubai on November 4, where India plans to seek justice through official channels.

Amidst the controversy, the BCCI confirmed a ₹51 crore cash prize for the Indian women's team following their historic win. In addition, the side will receive USD 4.48 million (₹39.78 crore) in prize money from the ICC.
