Kohli played a defining role in India’s wins during the Champions Trophy. Against Pakistan, Kohli scored match winning 100 off 111 balls and guided India to a comfortable chase of 242.
In the semifinal clash against Australia, Kohli came through yet again and scored 84 off 98 balls to take India to the final.
Before that, during the group stage against New Zealand, mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy was the hero. He spun a web around the Kiwi batting lineup and took five wickets in his 10 overs.

The Champions Trophy final in Dubai saw Rohit rise to the occasion. Chasing 252 against New Zealand, Rohit led from the front with 76 off 83 balls, setting the tone for India’s successful pursuit.
Fast forward to the recent ODI series against Australia and Rohit proved that class never fades. Returning to international cricket after seven months, the Indian captain smashed an unbeaten 121 off 125 balls in the third ODI at Sydney.
His innings, decorated with 13 fours and 3 sixes, helped India chase down 237 comfortably and avoid a whitewash. That knock earned him both Player of the Match and Player of the Series honors.
