What happened in the Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan?
India sent Pakistan to bat first after winning the toss and they were off to a poor start in terms of bowling as Shibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman stitched an 84-run partnership for the opening wicket. Farhan dominated against Bumrah as the India star conceded 18 runs in his first two overs.
Things, however, drastically changed once Farhan got out in the 10th over, as a shift in momentum began. Kuldeep Yadav then delivered a fiery spell as he picked four wickets for 30 runs in his stipulated four overs, as Pakistan's batting lineup crumbled like a house of cards and were bowled out for 146 runs.
India's batting again got off to a shaky start as they lost three wickets for just 20 runs, including in-form star Abhishek Sharma. But Tilak Varma stood firm on his ground and built two quality partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube to guide India home. Rinku SIngh hits the winning runs.
