Getting a Test century at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London is considered a holy grail for batters around the world. It's a matter of pride for a cricketer to play at the 'Home of Cricket' and scoring a century at the venue is of great pride.

It's been almost a century since India began playing Test matches against England, and so far, only 10 Indian batters have managed to score a hundred in the red-ball format at Lord's.

Vinoo Mankad was the first Indian batter to score a century at the much-famed stadium back in 1952. He played a brilliant knock of 184 runs, although India lost the Test match.

He was followed by Gundappa Vishwanath, Dilip Vengsarkar, Ravi Shastri and Mohammad Azharuddin. The last Indian batter to score a hundred at Lord's was KL Rahul in 2021.

Legendary batters like Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly scored a hundred each in their debut Test match in 1996. However, batters like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli retired from the format without a single ton at Lord's. Vengsarkar and Rahul are the only Indian batters to score more than one century at the English venue.

Here are all the Indian batters who have scored a Test century at Lord's.

What next for the Indian cricket team?

England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bat first after picking fielding in the first two Test matches. With India batting in the second, a new batter will aim to etch their names in the history books by scoring a century in third Test.
