India is all set to host the T20 World Cup in 2026 as the defending champions, and the qualification rounds for the tournament are well underway. Sri Lanka will also be the co-hosts of the tournament.
Across the globe, 105 recognized national teams play T20 Cricket and fight for a spot in this tournament, which includes a total of 12 full member countries, while the remaining 93 are associate nations from 6 continents.

How many teams have qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026?
Just like the 2024 edition in the USA and the Caribbean, the 2026 edition of the tournament will have a total of 20 teams fighting for the title.
As of October 15, 2025, a total of 19 teams have qualified for the tournament, with Oman and Nepal being the latest names to the list — 1 spot remains up for grabs.
The final participant will be determined from the Asia & East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers which ends on October 17.
