The 18th edition of India's Premier domestic white-ball tournament, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, is all set to commence on Wednesday, November 26.
Named after India's former Test cricketer, Syed Mushtaq Ali, the tournament is played in the T20 format and acts as a platform for new talent, bridging the gap between domestic cricket and the IPL.

A total of 38 teams, divided into five groups - four Elite and one Plate - will face off in the upcoming edition of the tournament, which will consist of a total of 116 league games, followed by the knockouts and the final.
