The Indian T20 team has landed in Canberra and all eyes are on captain Suryakumar Yadav. Ahead of the first T20I against Australia, a video shared by the Star Sports showed SKY in full rhythm.
Suryakumar was smashing shots all over the park during training. The clip was captioned, 'Captain Surya in full flow!'.

After a disappointing ODI series, the focus now shifts to the shortest format, where Suryakumar and his side will look to start fresh.
Can Suryakumar Yadav bounce back after a poor run of form?
Despite his massive success in the IPL earlier this year, Suryakumar’s international form in 2025 has raised eyebrows.
In T20Is this year, he has scored just around 100 runs in 12 matches. Even during India’s Asia Cup triumph, he couldn’t quite deliver the fireworks fans expect from him and managed only 72 runs in six innings, with a best of 47 against Pakistan.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir, however, is not worried. He recently said that Suryakumar’s aggressive style means he will have off days, but that is part of the game.
Now, with a fresh series starting, this could be the perfect stage for Suryakumar to find his groove again.

How did Team India prepare ahead of the first T20I in Canberra?
Under the bright Canberra sun, the Indian players trained with renewed energy. The session started with running and stretching drills before the batters and bowlers began focused net practice.
Gambhir kept a close eye on his captain, discussing shot selection and field placements during breaks. Suryakumar, meanwhile, seemed completely zoned in. The video showed him effortlessly hitting balls into the stands. His timing looked sharp, and his body language reflected calm confidence.
The upcoming series against Australia, beginning Wednesday, October 29, will be a crucial one. It will test India’s readiness for next year’s T20 World Cup.
With the matches starting at 1:45 PM IST and the toss half an hour earlier, the stage is set for a high-voltage clash. If Suryakumar continues batting the way he did in the nets, Canberra might just witness a spectacle.
