The English bowlers started Day 5 of the third Test on a fiery note as set Indian batsman KL Rahul and in-form wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant were dismissed very early in the day by Brydon Carse and Jofra Archer, respectively.
England needed early wickets to put pressure on the visitors, who were chasing a relatively low total of 193 and they did exactly the same.
Archer also dismissed all-rounder Washington as the visitors were reduced to 83/7 at one point. The English pacer, however, was particularly in an aggressive mood while dismissing Pant.

Archer's unplayable in-swinging delivery went straight through Pant's defence and knocked off the stumps. As the Indian batter was preparing to walk off the pitch, the pacer approached him and murmured something very aggressively, while giving him a send off.

Stuart Broad slammed ICC for imposing fine on Mohammed Siraj
Earlier in the day, the ex-England star had called out ICC for imposing a 15% fine on Mohammed Siraj's match fee for his aggressive celebration after dismissing Ben Duckett in the second innings on Day 4.
Broad pointed out that India captain Shubman Gill was spared despite showing similar aggression towards Zak Crawley on Day 3, while Siraj got the punishment.
Broad wrote on X: "Find this ridiculous. Siraj 15% for aggressive celebration. Gill swears live on TV & carries on and what? It's either both or neither. Players aren't and shouldn't be robots but consistency is key.

What next for England and India?
England will hope that their pace attack will pick up the remaining three wickets quickly to wrap up the game, while India's hope now lies on Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who are currently on the crease.
