Social media users engaged in a heated discussion after Bumrah and Pant faced criticism for referring to South African captain Temba Bavuma as "Bauna". 

South African batting coach Ashwell Prince has addressed the situation, stating that the team won't pursue the matter further and has no intention of filing any formal grievances.

During the 13th over of South Africa's inaugural innings at Eden Gardens, a swift delivery from Jasprit Bumrah hit Temba Bavuma's thigh pad, leading to a fervent appeal from The Indian team.

The umpire rejected the appeal, ruling the batter not out. As the Indian pair, Bumrah and Pant, debated whether to use DRS, they referred to Bavuma as 'Bauna' (shorty), a common way to consider height when making a decision.

Speaking to reporters post-game, Prince declared, "No, there will be no discussion. It's the first time, obviously, it's come to my attention. I don't think there'll be any issues with what's happened out in the middle,", making it clear the South African team isn't taking offense at the situation.

The stump mic remarks rapidly spread online, sparking considerable criticism and negative reactions, with numerous individuals deeming it disrespectful to Bavuma.

India began their inaugural home Test against South Africa impressively. The Men In Blue limited the visiting team to a mere 159 runs in their initial innings and are now eager to achieve a substantial first-innings total.
