South Africa wins the first ODI series in England after 27 years
The Temba Bavuma-led side scripted history at the Home of Cricket in Lord's, when they defeated the hosts England by five runs in a thrilling encounter to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.
Matthew Breetzke continued his dream run with his fifth fifty in five international innings, as his match-winning knock of 85 helped the Proteas set a big total of 330 in their 50 overs. England fought till the end, but fell short by five runs after they were limited to 325/9.
South Africa's last series win in England came in 1998, when they defeated the side 2-1 in a three-match series. After that, the visitors lost four series in the UK.
