Smriti Mandhana surpasses Mithali Raj's 2017 record during IND-W vs SA-W final
Mandhana's latest knock took her tournament tally to 434 runs, making her the highest Indian run-scorer in a single Women's World Cup edition. The 29-year-old overtook Mithali Raj's 409-run mark from 2017, a record that had stood for eight years.
Opening alongside Shafali Verma, Mandhana gave India brisk starts in nearly every game. During the final, she once again looked composed, driving through the off side before being dismissed by Chloe Tryon in the 18th over.
