Shubman Gill on what he learned from Virat Kohli

Gill spoke about Kohli's intensity on the field and the lasting impression it left on him as a young cricketer.

"I loved watching Virat bhai, the way he approached the game, the sheer passion he carried, and the real hunger he had for cricket. You can learn all the skills, techniques but hunger and passion is something you have or you don’t, and that is something Virat Kohli has so much and it really inspired me," Gill said.

Gill remained unbeaten on 20, guiding the side to a crushing win.

His comments on Kohli serve as a reminder that while technical skills evolve, intangible traits like drive and determination remain central to cricketing greatness. As India gear up for tougher challenges in the Asia Cup, Gill will look to carry forward the lessons from one of the game's modern icons.
