Yuzvendra Chahal continues to hog the limelight despite being miles away from the Indian national cricket team. 

The spinner has lately been a regular on page three rather than the back pages, thanks to his flippant dating pattern. 

The most prominent relationship in Chahal's life was with Dhanashree Verma, a popular choreographer and YouTuber. The two allegedly met during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 when Chahal signed up for Dhanashree’s online dance classes.

Romance bloomed fast, and they tied the knot on December 22, 2020, in a private ceremony in Gurgaon. However, love became a casualty soon after, and the divorce was finalised in March 2025 by the Mumbai Family Court.

Even after the legal separation, Chahal continued to be Cupid's favourite child, and the spinner started dating radio jockey and influencer RJ Mahvash.

Coffee dates, dinner outings, movie nights, they soon became the paparazzi's eye candy. However, recent reports indicate that the chemistry has fizzled out and the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Is Yuzvendra Chahal dating Shefali Bagga?

Chahal was spotted in Mumbai with former Bigg Boss 13 contestant and news anchor Shefali Bagga. 

The duo went out for dinner with the cricketer, spotted in a pair of blue faded jeans and a black short kurta. 

Although it would be premature to say that the two are dating, the appearance has put the rumour mill on overdrive. 

Who is Shefali Bagga? 

Shefali Bagga is an Indian television presenter and has worked on Indian television channels, such as the India Today Group: Tez News (2015) and Aaj Tak.

However, she shot to fame with her Bigg Boss 13 participation, a reality show aired in 2019.

Also, as a versatile sports anchor, Shefali has found success as a host of the Legends Cricket Trophy in 2024. 

Most recently in 2025, Shefali co-hosted a Reality Date Show called Loventure: Pyaar Ka Vanvaas with Social Media Personality Faisal Shaikh aka Mr. Faisu on Jio Hotstar. She has also featured in the Music Video Beparwaiyaan by Digvijay Singh Rathee in 2025.

How did Yuzvndra Chahal respond to Dhanashree Verma's cheating allegations?

In a recent interaction with the Hindustan Times, Chahal responded to all the allegations that are being put across by his ex-wife on the public portal. 

"I am a sportsperson and I do not cheat. Agar koi two months mei hi cheat karta toh itna lamba relationship chalta kya? For me, this chapter is over, done, and dusted. I have moved forward with my life, and everyone else should do, too," he says.

After nearly five years of marriage, Yuzvendra Chahal got separated from his wife Dhanashree Verma as the marriage ended in a divorce earlier this year. The couple met through social media during the 2020 lockdown and got married the same year.

"Hamari shadi 4.5 years thi. Agar two months mei cheat hua hota toh kaun continue karta? Mai pehle bhi bol chuka hun ki mai past se nikal chuka hun. But some people are still stuck there...abhi bhi unka ghar mere naam se chal raha hai, toh they can continue doing that. I am not concerned or affected. And I have a feeling this is the last time I am addressing that chapter of my life," added Chahal.

When did Yuzvendra Chahal last play an international match with India?

Chahal has not appeared in an international match for India in over two years in ODIs and nearly two and a half years in T20Is.
