Rohit is keen to play an unofficial series against Australia 'A'
The Indian fans have been waiting eagerly to see the return of their 50-over skipper Rohit Sharma. He last played international cricket in March, is expected to make a comeback next month, in an unofficial series against Australia 'A'.
As per Revsportz, the Indian white-ball skipper is keen on playing the India 'A' series as a part of his preparations for the big Australia ODI series later this year.
India is set to tour Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is in October and November this year. The ODIs are scheduled for October 19,23, and 25 and will be played in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney, respectively.

Rohit, who has already started training for the series, is reportedly eager to play an unofficial series next month to ensure that he does not travel to Australia underprepared.

Rohit has already given up on two formats - T20I and Test cricket. He will only feature for India in the 50-over format.
If reports are to be believed, the 38-year-old does not have a guaranteed spot in BCCI's plan for the 50-over World Cup, which will be played in 2027. He will be 40 years old when the tournament begins.
Rohit was the Player of the Match in the last ODI that he played for India against New Zealand in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy. He scored 76 off 83 balls, leading India to yet another ICC title.

The Indian skipper has been one of the greatest modern-day openers. With three double centuries in the 50-over format, Rohit comfortably sits ahead of any other batter in the World. In 273 ODI matches, he has scored 11,168 runs with 32 centuries and a highest score of 264 (which is a world record).
Such a glorious career deserves a fitting farewell, and if it can end with a World Cup title, there would be nothing better.
