Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli once again proved that age is just a number as the duo were at their vintage best in the third and final match of the ODI series against Australia in Sydney.

Having already lost the series at Adelaide earlier this week, team India played for pride at Sydney as they were determined to avoid a whitewash.

Australia, batting first, were bowled out for just 236 runs as Harshit Rana silenced his critics by scalping four wickets and restricting the hosts to a moderate total.

Sharma, who returned to form in Adelaide with a brilliant half-century, picked up from where he left off as he hit a marvellous century to guide his team home.

The former India captain was ably supported by Virat Kohli, who hit a brilliant half-century and finally got off the mark after scoring back-to-back ducks earlier in the series.

After the game, Sharma thanked the Australian crowd for overwhelmingly cheering for them, while also claiming that this might be his last match on Australian soil.

Rohit Sharma says "Don't know if we will be coming back to Australia"

Sharma and Kohli were interviewed by Ravi Shastri and Adam Gilchrist for Fox Cricket after the game where, Indian opener shared his thoughts on his innings and the series.

Sharma said: "I've always loved coming here. I enjoy playing cricket over here. Fond memories of 2008 and nice way to finish. Getting that knock and getting that finish. I don't know if we will be coming back to Australia but it was fun all those years I have been here, lot of good memories, bad memories but all-in-all, I'll take the cricket that I have played here."
